How Karnataka implements pay commission revisions

Karnataka uses state master scales with its own DA formula. The next state pay commission is expected to reference 8th CPC levels while retaining the state master-scale structure.

What to expect on 8th CPC rollout

When the 8th Pay Commission is notified centrally, Karnataka employees can expect a fitment factor between 2.57x and 2.86x on basic pay, with state DA rebased to 0% at implementation. HRA slabs are typically revised in line with the central rules.
