How Assam implements pay commission revisions
The state Revised Pay Rules replicate the central 7th CPC pay matrix level for level, so an 8th CPC fitment factor applied to the central matrix gives a close projection for state employees too. Assam's ROP rules retained the 14 pay-band structure mapped onto central levels.
What to expect on 8th CPC rollout
When the 8th Pay Commission is notified centrally, Assam employees can expect a fitment factor between 2.57x and 2.86x on basic pay, with state DA rebased to 0% at implementation. HRA slabs are typically revised in line with the central rules.
